Stating that the draft motion on the Higher Education Board (YOK), which was sent to the Prime Ministry, would be opened for signature this week, Celik stressed that the provision abolishing the coefficient practice for high schools at university entrance was included in the draft motion. The move of AKP aims at equalizing the grades of IHL graduates with academic high schools, to enable them enter any faculty they desire.
Celik said that "Even those who study at Priest Schools in U.S. may enter any faculty they wish at university. This inequality in Turkey shall be removed. Will 70 million-population Turkey fear from 70 thousand students of IHL's? Besides, I have a list in front of me. 15-20 IHL's will be closed due to the fewness of students."
