Tuzmen: Turkey breaks new record in exports

Turkey’s State Minister for Trade, Kursad Tuzmen announced that Turkish exports broke all previous records held by reaching $7.3 billion last December. The minister of trade confirmed a 14.7% rise on the previous year’s figures, with record breaking exports in 2005 reaching $73.426 billion. The minister, during an “export evaluation” meeting in Ankara, said expected import figures for the end of 2005 would be $115 million.
