The Turkish warplanes hit 13 outlawed PKK targets in the Zap region, the General Staff said on Thursday.Â

"All 13 targets were successfully hit," it said, adding that work was underway to determine how many outlawed PKK separatists were killed.

The military also said only PKK targets were fired upon and that no civilian casualties or damage were incurred.

"Operations as part of the fight against terrorism will continue with determination both at home and abroad," it added.

Turkey, provided with intelligence by the U.S., has stepped up military action against PKK since December.
