    Turkish night promotes Eurovision 2008 in Belgrade

    A "Turkish Night" was held in the Serbian capital, Belgrade in order to promote Turkey prior to the upcoming Eurovision Song ContTurkish band "Mor ve Otesi", which will represent Turkey at the contest, gave a concert at the "Turkish Night" held in Belgrade's well-known club, Otard.Nearly 600 guests attended the night.Eurovision contestants from Sweden, Czech Republic, Macedonia, Serbia, Hungary and the Greek Cypriot community also performed at the "Turkish Night" organization."Mor ve Otesi" will compete for a finals place on Thursday. The Eurovision finals will take place on May 24.The band "Mor ve Otesi" (Purple and Beyond), established in 1995, released its first album "Sehir" (The City) in 1996.Turkey won the 2003 Eurovision Song Contest with Sertab Erener's song "Every way That I Can," while Turkish band Athena came fourth the following year with the song titled, "For Real."est to be held in the city.
