Turkey continues its pledge to offer humanitarian support to war-torn Iraq with the latest in a long line of missions to help Iraqi children. Six Iraqi children arrived in Turkey yesterday for medical treatment on their eyes. The six children who have been brought to Turkey under a joint mission by US and Turkish medical institutes will undergo eye surgery for cataracts, retina trasnplants and treatment for other eye disorders.

The mission was organized under the strategic partnership of Baltimore-based John Hopkins University and Turkey's Anadolu Medical Center. The cost of the treatments will be covered by non-governmental organizations.
