    Turkey's Fire of Anatolian dance group perform in Syria

    "Fire of Anatolia", a famous Turkish dance group, performed at the historical Palmira site in Syria.

    Turkey’s "Fire of Anatolia" performed within the scope of the 2008 Palmira Culture-Art Festival and as the guest of the Syrian Culture Ministry.

    Ambassadors from various countries, leaders of religious communities and Syrian artists watched the performance of Turkish culture through dance.


    The "Fire of Anatolia" or "Anadolu Atesi" is a dance group consisting of 120 dancers, several choreographers and other technical staff. The group has performed in more than 40 countries from the U.S. to China and Japan, in front of an audience of approximately 6 million people in total.


    Fire of Anatolia holds two Guinness records, one for fastest dance performance with 241
    steps per minute and another for largest audience, 400,000 people in Eregli, in the Black Sea region of the country.


    The group is headed by Mustafa Erdogan.
