A small bomb went off outside a building being used by the Justice Ministry on Tuesday in Turkey's capital city, Ankara. The bomb caused widespread panic throughout the surrounding area, but no injuries were reported, stated NTV television channel, who were on the scene moments after it happened. Police immediately captured a suspect after the bomb went off outside the building in downtown Ankara, NTV said.
The bomb was reportedly a percussion type of explosive – which makes a loud noise to scare people but causes minimal damage. The motive behind the action was not immediately clear.
