    Prime Minister Erdogan due to Spain

    Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will leave for Spanish capital Madrid on Thursday.

    Releasing a statement on Wednesday, the Prime Ministry Press Center said that Prime Minister Erdogan would attend the ''Democracy, Terrorism and Security Summit'' in Madrid. 

    Prime Minister Erdogan will partake in a banquet to be hosted by Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero in honor of participants of the summit.

    He is scheduled to meet European Commission President Jose Manuel
    Barroso. 

    Erdogan will also hold talks with Israeli Deputy Prime Minister Shimon Peres and United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan. 

    Together with the other guest, Prime Minister Erdogan will observe a minute of silence in memory of 190 people who were killed in bomb attacks in Madrid on March 11th, 2004.

    Prime Minister Erdogan is expected to return to Turkey later in
    the day.
