The New York Times reported on it's travel pages yesterday that Istanbul is a destination well worth a visit. The article stated that "Istanbul is buzzing with change and is feeling a new burst of confidence". The article, which was published in both the printed copy and on the web, gave the New York Times readers a list of great places to go and see, raising the profile of the city to new heights.

Istanbul's cafe culture in the "artsy Beyoglu district reflects new energy", stated the article. The new Istanbul Modern Art Museum was quoted as a place to go, finally putting Istanbul on the map culturally, although the cafe service was criticized for its "forgetful waiter".

All in all the article was a positive and upbeat take on the city, that will ultimately bring new visitors to the incredible city that all Turks and foreigners living in the city already know to be one of the best places on earth.
