A Turkish man was finally set free from his Iraqi kidnappers after he paid a ransom of $200,000. Turkish jeweler Enver Unvar said he was stopped by armed men calling themselves "Iraqi mujaheddins" and taken to an unknown place along with his friend Feyaz Alisan. Unvar had been visiting Baghdad on business and was returning back to Turkey. "They told us that they would release us in return for 200,000 USD. My family paid the ransom. If they had not, I would not be alive and I would have been beheaded," indicated Unvar. According to Unvar, his friend is still a captive of the armed assailants.
