TOKYO - Pioneer, the money-losing maker of car audio and navigation systems, will eliminate 9,800 jobs and take a 47 billion yen ($490 million) charge this fiscal year for the reductions.
The Tokyo-based company will cut 5,800 full-time workers and 4,000 part-time positions, according to a statement yesterday.
