    Iraqi premier to visit Turkey

    As Iraq looks for support to find ways to stem sectarian violence, Iraqi Prime Minster Ibrahim al-Ja'fari will visit Turkey on february 28 to discuss with the current violence which is spinning out of control and look for ways in which to clam it. The visit was announced by Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Istanbul on Sunday. Also planning to visit Turkey soon, is the radical Iraqi Shi'ite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr is also scheduled to visit Ankara soon, reported the Anatolian news agency.

    The talks will be focused on ways in which the violence can be calmed. Turkey has strongly condemned the sectarian bloodshed in its southern neighbor and urged Iraqis to refrain from reprisals.


    Turkey has also suggested that countries neighboring Iraq should convene to discuss the situation there.
