Inflation rates continue dropping

The State Institute of Statistics (DIE) announced on Thursday that consumer prices have increased 0.02 percent, and producers prices rose 0.11 percent in February 2005. The annual inflation rate in February became 8.69 percent for consumer prices, while it became 10.58 percent for producers prices.

In comparison with a year ago, the consumer prices have dropped from 14.28 percent last February, while the producer prices rose a little from 9.14 percent.
Regarding consumer prices, the figure reflects a marked plateau as prices have stayed within a 2 percent range since May 2004.
