The patients, found to be carrying the A(H1N1) virus, the formal name for swine flu, after returning from Britain and Saudi Arabia in late June, were in "good" health, AFP quoted the ministry as saying in a statement.

Turkey's 27 cases include only one patient who caught the virus in the country, while all others were either foreigners or Turks returning from travel abroad.Â

The World Health Organization declared a global swine flu pandemic in June, and in its latest release on Wednesday, said 332 patients had died from and 77,201 people were infected.
