An official Turkish delegation was sent to Kyrgystan, Friday, with the hope of moderating the present chaos existing in the country, after the president Askar Akayev's government was overturned by the opposition.

The delegation will be headed by Metin Goker and plans to evacuate around 150 Turkish nationals, mainly women and children.

Turkey has strong ties both politically and economically with Kyrgystan and believe that they can have some influence on the present situation.

Senior delegate Metin Goker said, "We hope to meet with people who 'carry weight' and find some sort of solution to the present situation and restore some stability to the country."
