Turkish Automotive Exports Exceeded 5 Bn Dollars

The exports of the Turkish automotive sector, which directed towards foreign markets because of economic crisis in the country, rose by 57.9% in the first 9 months of the year to 5.1 billion dollars. This number is more than 4.8 billion dollars, which is the total export amount of 2002. The greatest increase took place in the export of armoured war vehicles, tanks, and tractors. The exports of the automotive industry are mainly directed towards European countries, especially to Germany.Â
