Turkish jets returned to their bases safely after hitting the terrorist targets in the northern Iraq on Friday, the General Staff said in a statement posted on its website.
The General Staff said jets only targeted the terrorist organization, PKK, and paid the utmost attention not to harm civilians.
Earlier news reports said Turkish warplanes bombed PKK targets in northern Iraq's Mount Qandil region at noon local time (0900 GMT) on Friday and continued into the afternoon.
Four PKK separatists were killed in the air raid, Reuters reported quoting military sources.
The offensive, announced Friday, was the latest in a series of Turkish attacks against the PKK hideouts in northern Iraq after the deadly attacks carried out in Turkey by the terror organization.
