Turkey's CB revised year-end inflation projection up

Turkey's Central Bank (CB) said the inflation rate, based on the consumer prices index (TUFE), will be 9.64 percent at the end of 2008 according to figures of its May 2nd expectancy survey released on Friday.

The CB's year-end inflation rate projection in May's first survey was 9.55 percent. The bank's survey also showed that year-end current account deficit is expected to increase to $45.6 billion. It was $44.9 billion in the previous survey.
The CB also revised its year-end exchange rate projection for the U.S. dollar down to 1.3437 YTL.
