Turkey sends delagation to Iraq

Turkey sent a delegation to Baghdad which will hold meetings with top Iraqi officials and discuss the basis of the strategic dialogue mechanism to be set up.

The Turkish delegation consisting of a senior Prime Ministry official and Turkey's Special Representative to Iraq arrived Thursday in Baghdad.

The delegation will meet Iraqi officials including President Jalal Talabani and PM Nuri Al Maliki.

The delegation will also meet representatives of the Turkmen community and Turkmen MPS in Baghdad. The basis of the strategic dialogue mechanism foreseen to be chaired by the PMs of the two countries, as well as the topics discussed during

Iraqi President's recent visit to Turkey will be discussed during the meetings.
