Three people, including a retired colonel, were taken into custody Thursday in Beykoz town of Istanbul as well as in Ankara. under the Ergenekon operation, the state-run Anatolian Agency reported.
In the Ergenekon investigation, anti-AKP politicians, journalists and intellectuals, are accused of being members of an illegal organization believed to be planning provoking events that would pave the way for a military coup to overthrow the ruling government.
The 2455-page "Ergenekon" indictment has been filed at an Istanbul court, indicting 86 people, 47 of who are being held in custody.
