Greek Cypriot Leader Tasos Papadopulous opened his “Oxi” (No) flag to the Annan Plan, for the April 24 referenda, along with TRNC President Rauf Denktas.In a live televised address, the Grek Cypriot leader shet tears, just like Denktas, when saying that “I took over a state, will not hand a community!” Similarly, President Denktas said while departing Turkey (where he met President Sezer and PM Erdogan) that “This plan is a plot devised to drag our people to somewhere they want, not we want.” Meanwhile, EU Commissioner Günther Verheugen urged both communities to vote a Yes for the Plan. He said that a solution must be found to end the isolation of the Turkish Cypriot part, if Greek Cypriots voted against , in the referendum. He defined the alternative of the Plan, as impasse. �
