The 455 "Middle K" Crisis

It has been brought to light that the Turkish police are going through a personnel crisis of sorts, with regards to an "unfair ranking system". Police who graduate from high school and go to university (Middle Ks) are now being prioritized over those who graduate from the academy.During the application to the constitutional courts for police commanding ranks, the 455-Middle K?s ranks earned during their military service are counted, giving them priority over 1,526 academy graduates.In particular this has affected female academy graduates. Women, who do not do military service, have fallen behind. The hierarchy is working to break up this pattern.Â
