Talat: "Giving Maras in return of openning of Magusa is impossible

"Giving Maras to Greek Cypriots in return of opening of Magusa Port to international trade is not possible,'' Mehmet Ali Talat, Prime Minister of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) said on Thursday. Replying a question, Talat said this suggestion made by Greek Cypriot administration leader Tassos Papadopoulos is unacceptable.Talat said real purpose of Papadopoulos was to disrupt economic development of the Turkish Cypriots, and expressed readiness for joint management of all ports of Cyprus. Stressing that it was impossible to accept authority of the Greek Cypriot Administration on north of Cyprus, Talat said, ''we are ready to set up a united Cyprus Republic. However, we cannot accept extending of Greek Cypriot authority up to the North.''  Â
