President Sezer said, “OIC accomplished good jobs until today. However, we expect enhancing the distinctiveness, credibility, and effectiveness of our organization, and make it contribute more, to the solution of problems, which are on the agenda of the entire world. Therefore, what we should do is to review our garden and do our homework well, both as an organization and as individual countries. We should be able to guide the era, without losing our values. We can accomplish this with a strong renovation and reform process.”
In the part of his speech, that was related to Iraq, Sezer called on U.S. to transfer sovereignty of Iraq to Iraqis, without explicitly mentioning the name of U.S. Sezer stressed that Turkey would continue to do what she could do to serve the restructuring process and people in Iraq.
