Speaking after the Turkish Parliament's (TBMM) overwhelming acceptance of a motion allowing military intervention into northern Iraq in pursuit of PKK terror forces hiding there, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said yesterday "May this mean good things for our nation, for our people, and for those who see the struggle against terror as an international decision."
Erdogan also referred yesterday to US President George W. Bush's voiced opposition to any possible Turkish intervention in Iraq, noting "It is not important who has said what about this, it is important only what the TBMM has said, and that the TBMM has made this decision."
