A bomb, allegedly planted by the outlawed separatist PKK, has killed one and wounded three Turkish village guards in Sirnak, a province in southern Turkey, according to the official website of the Turkish General Staff.

The explosion occurred at 3.37 p.m. (GMT 1237) in the Sirnak province, located near the border with Iraq, during a search and sweep mission of the mountainous area, the website reported.

Three Turkish soldiers and 16 outlawed PKK separatists were killed during clashes in the same province this week.
