ANKARA - Ordu Yardımlaşma Kurumu, a Turkish army pension fund, plans to buy cement companies in western Europe, Hürriyet reported yesterday, citing Celal Çağlar, head of the fund’s cement and auto unit.
The fund, known as Oyak, has received offers and will decide on acquisitions in a month after it has more details, the newspaper reported. Oyak owns four publicly traded cement companies.
