Hagi said that he had felt alone at the club for some time now and that he had made the decision to resign 10 days ago. "I decided to resign 10 days ago but only made my decision public after the last match of the season," said Hagi. Adding that, "I have felt alone in my job the whole season and I failed to accomplish my plans, but I'm satisfied with my work. I built a new, positive team and revived the careers of some players considered too old by the media and officials."
