Minister Claims Fraud and Orders Investigation into Ministry

Claims of fraudulent tenders at the Ministry of Energy are being investigated and 11 people have been detained. The 11 detainees include general directors and bureaucrats. Energy Minister Hilmi Guler ordered the investigation upon claims that there had been irregularities in some tenders at the Ministry. “Detain who ever responsible.”This has been the biggest fraud operation in the Ministry of Energy since the scandal of former minister Cumhur Ersumer. Among the people detained are: Deputy Director General of BOTAS Fuat Celepci, Electric Generation General Director Onder Piyade and his Deputy Servet Ust. �
