Iraqi President Talabani: We are doing everything possible to prevent PKK

Iraqi President Jelal Talabani has said that the Baghdad administration is "doing everything they can" to prevent PKK terror attacks on Turkey coming from Northern Iraqi soil. At a press conference held yesterday, Talabani repeated that he was engaged in the problem personally, and that the new Iraqi government was seriously committed to the matter.
Talabani also noted that he had given the order for any and all PKK bureaus in Iraq to be shut down by security forces. Talabani asserted that a three-way meeting between Iraqi, American and Turkish officials on the subject of PKK camps and organizations in Iraq would be held soon, although he declined to offer an exact date.
