Mehmet Ali Ağca, who murdered a prominent Turkish journalist, Abdi Ipekci, spoke with chief police inspectors at Istanbul Security Forces for approximately 1 hour before returning to prison, adding to his list of intriguing opinions. Ağca said that he would shoot the Pope even if he were on the moon, then described the reasons why he liked the colour blue: “Blue is the colour of the armies of World War Three. As commander, I will of course wear this colour of clothing.”

Mehmet Ali Ağca spoke to chief police inspectors at the Istanbul Security Forces after he was brought in 1 day before the Turkish Supreme Court overturned the decision for his release. Ağca is said to have laughed twice during the conversation with officers at the station; once as he described the people who wanted his signiature and a second time when asked about thoughts on marriage. Ağca, who repeatedly insists he is the Messiah, stated that even the Pope had accepted this.
