Turkey is in full support of Washington's demands for the clarification of the former Lebanese Prime Minister Refik Hariri. Explaining Ankara's evaluation about Hariri's assassination to Hurriyet daily, a high level diplomatic source said, "There is a grave terror action. This terror action shall be brought into light with its real sizes and it shall be acted in the light thereof. Taking into account the problems and pains experienced by Lebanon in the past, this incident is extremely serious."
Recalling that the UN Security Council makes evaluations when there are important developments in the Middle East, the same source emphasized that Turkey was in full support to the decisions of the Security Council, who place great importance to the political independence, territorial integrity and sovereignty of Lebanon.
