German tourist dies in paragliding accident in Turkey

Thomas Manfred Christian (44) plummeted 300 meters onto rocks when strong winds collapsed his parachute after he launched off Mount Babadag, at an altitude of 1,800 meters.

Christian, who suffered a servere head trauma in the accident, was helicopter airlifted to Fethiye State Hospital, but died from his injuries despite doctors’ efforts.
