14-year-old Yasa Amac Birsen, who was called three times for organ transfer up-to-now and was eliminated each time on grounds of finding more appropriate receivers, was disppointed also for fourth time. They are waiting with their relatives at the door of the meeting room on fourth floor. They are called as "candidates of candidates" at the Transplantation Unit. Here, kidney transfer has been made from cadaver since 1988. It is one of the 25 similar ones in Turkey. In the last one month, they are receiving the 7th donor.
When the donor is made, the data at the bank is scanned and the ones whose tissue properties can match are being called to the hospital for the most appropriate candidate to be found.
