Five Turkish lieutenants were killed in a car accident in northwestern Turkey, agencies reported on Sunday.

Another lieutenant and a civilian were also injured in the accident that occurred in the northwestern province of Balikesir.
The car carrying the seven hit a road lamp, the agencies said.Â
