Erdogan joins world leaders in reaction to Ahmedinejad

Irani President Mahmud Ahmedinejad's recent comment that "Israel should be wiped from the face of the earth" has elicited angry responses from world leaders, including a bid from Israeli government authorities to have Iran officially removed from the United Nations. Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke about Ahmedinejad's words yesterday at a London press conference, urging the Iranian leader to become calm, and adding this:
"If Ahmedinejad's words are true as reported, then his approach is very wrong. Every country is responsible for clarifying its own relationships, but no country has the right to assign another country a status.....They do not have this right."
