Efes hires HSBC to arrange $200 mln loan

HONG KONG - Efes Breweries International, a Turkish brewer that makes beer in Russia and other east European countries, plans to borrow $200 million.
The company hired HSBC Holdings to arrange the three-year transaction, which will help refinance a $300 million loan maturing in September, the company said in a statement Monday. The Amsterdam-based company is a unit of Turkish brewer Anadolu Efes Biracilik & Malt Sanayii.
