A research conducted in 9 provinces and among 11 thousand 911 high school students revealed that 2.5% of the students used Ecstasy at least once.

The most widespread usage of Ecstasy pills is in private schools, in which 9.1% of students take those pills. The average age for starting to take Ecstasy appeared to be 13.4. Izmir became the first-ranking city where students take Ecstasy at least once. Moreover 12.2% of the students appeared to take Ecstasy pills at least once in the last month.
