Denktas travels to Pakistan

Deputy Prime Minister & Foreign Minister of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Serdar Denktas left for Pakistan on Friday. Denktas follows Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who paid a visit to the earthquake stricken region of Muzaffarabad – the area that was worst-hit by the quake – on Friday. The TRNC have sent a second plane to Pakistan loaded with humanitarian aid.

Denktas travelled to Pakistan to deliver the aid which included 10 tons of medicine, health equipment, tents and blankets.
The plane carrying the relief equipment were to return to TRNC on Friday evening. A five-member health team and 12-member search and rescue team that were sent to the region on October 12th are also expected to return to TRNC
