Cold outside, warm laughter inside at Cankaya

President Ahmet Necdet Sezer of Turkey greeted visiting President of Tajikistan, Imamali Rahmanovu, in blizzard like snow yesterday at the Cankaya Presidential Palace in Ankara. High ranking authorities from the Ankara government stood in the freezing temperatures yesterday during the official ceremonies to welcome President Rahmanov, though later, a dinner given in honor of the Tajik President at Cankaya warmed the delegations.
At the evening dinner, President Sezer, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and leader of the main opposition CHP party, Deniz Baykal, laughed together over the meal, a sight not seen by many for a long while.
