“Check If Man Is Dead”

The 4th Penal Department of the Appeals Court sentenced Nurettin Aydin, Kadikoy Public Prosecutor, because of “tele-investigation.”A man killed two people and then committed suicide on November 4, 1997 at about 19.30. Aydin did not go to the crime scene and preferred to direct policemen on the phone. He left the investigation to the initiative of the policemen and ordered the dead bodies to be taken to the morgue of the Goztepe Hospital. On November 5 he examined the dead bodies and forwarded them to forensic medicine. Fatih Public Prosecutor carried out the autopsy. When this was revealed, first an investigation was launched into Aydin, and then a case was bring against him. �
