    Campaign to prevent "Honor Killings"

    Meetings will be held in southeastern cities of Diyarbakir and Mardin to assess the strategies and methods to be followed in the campaign which will be launched to ''Prevent Honor Killings''. The campaign is organized by British Council and Women's Center (KA-MER) and carried out with the cooperation of Diyarbakir and Mardin governors' offices.

    Diyarbakir Governor Efkan Ala, Mayor Osman Baydemir, British Council's Turkey Director Chris Brown and Governance, Human Rights Manager of British Council Esra Canakci, the Directorate of Religious Affairs official Mehmet Keskin and representatives of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) will attend the meeting.

    Another meeting on the issue will be held in Mardin on March 15th.
