Ayhan Punished for 2 Years

European Champion Athlete Sureyya Ayhan has been prohibited from joining athletic competitions for 2 years, as a result of the incorporation displayed in the doping control, of WADA officials before the 2004 Athens Olympics Games. She will not be allowed to run until 1 October 2006.During the 4-year hearing in Ankara Ayhan, her husband and trainer Yucel Kop denied all the allegations. They have vowed to appeal against the decision made by the Sports Ministry’s Penalty Board.Â
