Avalanche in Nigde kills two

AKUT (search & rescue team) Nigde Chief Nedim Urcan said that according to preliminary information, two mountaineers died and two more remained trapped in an avalanche in Aladaglar Mountain in central Anatolian city of Nigde on Saturday.

Urcan told that avalanche fell on 14 students, members of a mountaineering club at Hacettepe University in Ankara, and two of them died and other two were trapped.
Stating that 10 students reached the camping site, Urcan noted that AKUT and gendarme teams were exerting efforts to rescue trapped students.
