Armenian conference to go ahead

Rector of Istanbul's Bilgi University Prof. Dr. Aydin Ugur indicated late Friday that they had accepted a proposal from organizers to hold the suspended conference titled ''Ottoman Armenians During the Fall of the Empire,'' at Bilgi University on Saturday, September 24th. Dr. Ugur noted that Bilgi University will open its doors for the conference for the sake of freedom of thought, research and expression.The conference became clouded in controversy when the Istanbul Administrative Court no:4 decided to suspend the Armenian conference.Â
