Another Controversy On Islamic Head Gear

In his invitation of the National Day reception, which he will host, President Ahmet Necdet Sezer did not invite the wives of AKP deputies who are wearing the turban. Sezer invited both Republican People's Party (CHP) deputies and their wives to the reception but invited deputies of the Justice and Development Party (AKP) on their own.  AKP Afyon Deputy Mahmut Kocak, whose wife does not wear turban, said that even though he was invited to the Cankaya (Presidential) Kiosk he would take his wife also.Â
