Gov’t plans to support tourism jobs

ANKARA -The government plans to pay employers’ social security contributions for tourism industry workers for the five months of the low season to help preserve jobs, Hürriyet newspaper reported, citing Tourism Minister Ertuğrul Günay.
Relieving employers of the payments should encourage them to keep workers on throughout the year, rather than laying them off in the slow months, the newspaper said, citing remarks by Günay to reporters in Ankara.
