A senior official of Bosch Group said Saturday that Turkey would continue to be an attractive market for future investments.

Wolfgang Chur, a member of the Board of Management of Robert Bosch GmbH, told AA that regardless of the place it held in the world economic growth chart, Turkey was always attractive for them in terms of growth potential.

He said they expanded their workforce in Turkey by 10 percent to 8,400 workers in 2007 and added that they would hire 1,000 more workers next year.

"In the long term we trust in Turkey's economy. There is a large population and healthy economic growth in Turkey. There can be seasonal ups and downs in every country," said Chur.

    GREAT POTENTIAL IN AUTOMOTIVE SECTOR
Chur said that there was great potential in Turkey in the automotive sector but pointed out that Turkey was important for Bosch not only in this sector but also in household appliances sector and thermotechnology.

He said their household appliances factory in Istanbul, one of the largest factories of its kind in Europe, made over
    1 billion Euro of profit.

He said one of the main areas of their operation in Turkey was diesel injection and brake systems and noted that they would continue to make investments in their facilities in Bursa which became an important center for their network in Europe.
