Five journalists' trial postponed

The trial of five prominent Turkish journalists, up on the charge of "insulting Turkish identity" under Article 301, has been postponed by the Turkish court. The five journalists charged, made comments in their columns – in daily newspapers – regarding the cancellation of the Armenian conference held back in September last year and appeared on Tuesday in an Istanbul court. The court has put off the trial, of which has been seen by many in the international community as a test to the "freedom of speech" issue in Turkey.
