Erol Simavi, the former owner of Hurriyet, who settled in Switzerland 11 years ago, returned to Turkey and resumed his health by the work of Turkish doctors after he was unable to walk following an operation on his waist in Geneva.

Erol Simavi, who consulted a famous expert when the pains at his waist became irresistible, explained what he has experienced as follows:

“The physician advised an operation. I accepted and made a great mistake. I had incredible pains when I went home. I could not move; I could not walk. For a year, I nearly could not walk at all. They advised me Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Bayhan in Istanbul. He said that the operation was erroneous, that a new operation was needed. I came to Istanbul. I was in the International Hospital. I won my health back. Ataturk, who was proud of Turkish physicians, was right.”
